Bipasha Basu Inaugurates Bengali Entertainment Channel ‘Mahuaa Bangla’

July 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Bollywood hot actress Bipasha Basu was in Kolkata yesterday to launch the Bengali entertainment channel ‘Mahuaa Bangla’.

On Monday evening, the gorgeous Bipasha entered the venue of launch at the ITC Sonar in Kolkata in red-bordered white embroidered sari. This was complimented by her red bangles, a pure look reflecting the Bengali culture and tradition.

The new ‘Mahuaa Bangla’ channel is an initiative of Mahuaa Media Pvt Ltd. Brazilian football legends Branco and Romario as well as the chairman and managing director of the Mahua group, PK Tewari, co-launched the event with the elegant looking Bipasha.

Tewari said, “Apart from catering to the general entertainment, Mahuaa Bangla will try to come up with new ideas and thoughts along with the revival of heritage and value.”

JTanushree Shankar and her dance troupe performed a traditional Durga Vandhana, which was followed by a laser show. Amidst Shankar’s second dance recital, Bipasha arrived in a palanquin.

Bollywood actress Konkana Sen Sharma along with Bengali star Jishu Sengupta hosted the grand launch event.

Well-known music composer Bappi Lahiri, singers Alka Yagnik and Debojit Saha thrilled the audience with their heartwarming performances.
