September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Bollywood actress Kim Sharma has reportedly tied the knot with a Kenya based rich business tycoon called Ali Punjani.

Earlier, it was heard that the actress was preparing to wed her Spanish boyfriend Carlos Marin and she was also supposed to move to Madrid after marriage. But the actress called off the engagement and went on to marry Ali in a secret ceremony.

The wedding ceremony took place two weeks ago in Mombasa, Kenya. A source was quoted saying that it was a love marriage. They were said to have dated for a short period and Kim wanted that they should tie the knot soon.

Kim earlier had a relationship with Indian cricketer Yuvraaj Singh for four years. Later, the two broke up in the middle of 2007.

The source added that the close relatives and friends of Kim and Ali attended the wedding ceremony and the bride looked very happy. The strange fact is that the actress’ best friend Preeti Jhangiani was missing from the marriage ceremony. Both the actresses made their Bollywood debut with 2000 hit movie Mohabatein and bonded well.

The 30 year old actress is now the better half of a rich and wealthy business tycoon so what about her Bollywood career? Well whatever the actress decides. We wish Kim and Ali all the best for their new married life.

September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): One of the very talented young actors of Bollywood Sonu Sood, who plays the role of a youth politician called Cheedi Singh in the upcoming movie ‘Dabangg’, is highly hopeful to return with his character in the sequel of the movie.

The movie is yet to release this week but the report of its sequel is rife from now. Sonu plays the villain’s role in the Salman Khan starrer movie. He has recently promised to return in the sequel too. The actor said that a sequel will happen surely but he does not want to reveal much about it.

Speaking about his role, Sood said that the character of Cheedi completes Salman’s character Chulbul Pandey as they compliment each other. Cheedi is a very powerful character, who adds humour to the negativity, the actor said. He added that the character is almost same like that of Gabbar Singh of Sholay.

The movie has been directed by Abhinav Kashyap, brother of renowned filmmaker Anurah Kashyap and is produced by Arbaaz Khan. It is totally action packed film, which will show the first ever oil fight sequence in Bollywood.

Romeo, who plays another antagonist in the movie, added that Dabangg is the first Hindi movie that has included an oil fight sequence. He said that it was fun and at the same time painful to shot these sequences. Romeo added that both Salman and he have done the stunts on their own.

The film also stars veteran actors like Vinod Khanna, Om Puri and Dimple Kapadia in important roles.

Everyone is now curious to watch ‘Dabangg’ so the sequel can wait!

September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Bollywood babe Kareena Kapoor has a soft heart too and she cares a lot for her friends and this has been proved recently. She walked out of Madhur Bhandarkar’s movie Heroine only because the director behaved rudely to the father of her close friend Lovely Singh.

It is to inform the readers that Kareena had performed a popular item number ‘It’s Rocking’ in ‘Kya Love Story Hai’ only for the sake of her friendship with the film’s director Lovely Singh.

There is report of an unpleasant incident between Madhur Bhandarkar and Lovely Singh’s dad that angered Kareena enough to take this step. Singh’s father Amarjeet Singh, who is the business manager of Satish Kaushik, had an appointment with the director’s office for discussing some work. He was made to wait for more than three hours and then Madhur told him he could not see him as he was very busy.

A source was quoted saying that Lovely was very upset on hearing the incident. He was unhappy with the fact that Madhur kept his father waiting for hours despite having an appointment and later the director even refused to meet his father. This news dismayed Kareena and she informed that she would not work in Madhur’s Heroine. However, officially it was maintained that the reason would be the film’s postponement till next year.

However, if this is the truth then Kareena has shown a good example of friendship!

September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Bollywood ‘Badshah’ Shah Rukh Khan and ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar are seemingly getting close to each other after their much talked rivalry on various occasions.

SRK, who was considered to be one of the closest pals of choreographer turned director Farah Khan, was reportedly upset with her for choosing Akshay over him in her next film ‘Tees Maar Khan’. Now, since last few months, SRK has been repeatedly trying to melt ice between him and Akshay and now it has shown the result.

Now, there is a report that the star duo is planning to produce a film and it will definitely star both of them.

Some times back, during the shooting of Akshay’s movie ‘Blue’, Shah Rukh paid a surprise visit to the sets of ‘Blue’ as he was also shooting nearby. Later on, SRK requested ‘Housefull’ producer Sajid Nadiadwala to have a screening of the movie at his bunglaw Mannat.

In fact, SRK visited the sets of Akshay’s upcoming movie ‘Patiala House’, four months back and spent about an hour in Akshay’s vanity van with him.

Sources were quoted saying that SRK also visited Akshay’s upcoming TV show ‘Master Chef India’ and surprised Kumar saying that he was feeling positive about Farah’s next movie ‘Tees Maar Khan’. SRK added that Farah would continue to make good films. Does it mean that he is trying to mend the gap between his old friend and him through Akshay?

But, the most surprising thing is that both the stars talked about producing a movie together. Well, definitely a positive approach from both ends!

September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Veteran Bollywood actress Asha Parekh got nostalgic at the screening of her hit film ‘Teesri Manzil’, which was released in 1966. On Saturday, Radio Mirchi organized a special screening of the movie, which was directed by Vijay Anand.

Asha Parekh was present at the screening of the movie along with Shammi Kapoor, Aamir Khan and singer Asha Bhosle. Recalling about her blockbuster movie ‘Teesri Manzil’, Parekh said that if the movie is remade today then she would opt Kareena Kapoor to play her role.

The 67-year-old veteran actress said that all the actresses of today are very good so it is very difficult for her to choose any of them. However, given an option she would like to name Kareena for the role, Asha said. According to her, Kareena will suit the role best.

The actress also recollected one incident during the shoot of the movie. Asha said that while shooting for the song ‘Aajaa Aajaa’ in the movie, she somehow got contracted an allergy and took a lot of medicines for the same. As a result, she was required to finish the song very soon and a lot of portions were done at a time. It was very difficult on her part and she still remembers the incident, the veteran concluded.

September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Renowned Bollywood filmmaker KJo has denied reports of his next movie tentatively titled as ‘Short Term Shaadi’, being adapted from a Hollywood film ‘What Happens In Vegas’ starring Cameron Diaz-Ashton Kutcher.

The film will star Bollywood hunk Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Karan Johar claimed that the film has an original story penned by writer-director of the movie Shakun Batra. Karan has also rubbished the reports that he asked Kareena to cut her hair short and go back to her size zero for the movie.

The 38-year-old filmmaker said that he had never had a talk with Kareena regarding any the above issues. He added that Bebo would look the way she does now.

The latest release of Karan titled ‘We Are Family’, is an adaptation of the Hollywood movie Stepmom, which received varied response at the box office. The filmmaker added that he does not think ‘We Are Family’ cheated the audience as people hardly remember the original movie and it is a real adaptation. He further said that some of the scenes and tracks in this movie are totally different from the original one.

The story of the original Hollywood film was about two complete strangers. They win a jackpot while on a vacation in Vegas and get drunk. They wake up to find shockingly that they have got married and thus they want to get divorced but they fall in love.

September 7, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): There is a buzz that Rishi Kapoor and family, is soon likely to appear in a movie together. It is reported that Rishi and Neetu will soon act in a film, which will also have their son Ranbir starring with them.

However, even though the movie will star the Kapoor family, it will not be a family movie. Interestingly, if the gossips are to be believed, Ranbir himself will direct and produce this special project.

Rishi and Neetu shared screen space in the movie Love Aaj Kal for a cameo. If the project of Ranbir sees the daylight, the couple will be seen together in a full fledged role after so many years. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan expressed publicly about his concern over privacy through his blog for the upcoming Mumbai Metro line. Now, it’s the turn of beauty queen turned ‘Bachchan Bahu’ to protect her privacy.

The actress has reportedly rejected a million dollar deal offered from a well known Hollywood studio. She did not take up the offer because it needed her to share her personal space and also the shoot is required to be conducted at her home.

It was reported to be a personal documentary on Aishwarya, which was similar to the one done with another Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. A renowned Hollywood studio is said to have offered the deal and they had been chasing the actress for this since last few months.

Initially, Ash was planning to think about it but she rejected the offer as soon as she was informed that the shooting will take place at her home and thus will disturb her privacy.

A source confirmed the news and was quoted stating that Ash did not change her decision even though the channel approached her several times. She denied the offer politely saying that she would never want anyone to shoot at her home disturbing the privacy of the family.

It’s a nationwide chain of workshops that Anupam will start next year. These would be a haven for healing nurturing and nursing the human spirit back to health.

Explains Anupam, “My idea of these spiritual clinics came about when I lectured on the subject of self-actualization some time ago. So many of us specially from the small towns suffer from low self-esteem. When I came to Mumbai to become an actor I was made to feel small about everything, from my broken English to my lack of table manners. That’s when I realized, ‘F..k it, I don’t need people’s approval. I need to like myself to be comfortable with my own personality. That’s what the Power Within workshops will strive to achieve.”

For starters Anupam will enroll some of his colleagues from the film industry who admit to being low on self worth.The chain of workshops will go global after opening in India next year.

Anupam feels his play Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai has taught him to value his failures as well as his successes. An exhibition held on Tuesday highlighted one endeavor by a painter to understand the importance of Anupam’s failures.

Says Anupam, “Geeta Dass did not paint me as a hero. She portrayed my failures in the exhibition. That’s what I liked.” The chief guest at the exhibition was none other than Amitabh Bachchan. “I didn’t have to ask him more than once. He immediately responded and agreed. What really sets the failures apart from their successes is the way you cope with time and people. Deriving pleasure in making people wait for your response is not a sign of importance. It just show how small you are in your self-important space.”

September 8, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The South Indian actress Asin Thottumkal, who made her grand debut in Bollywood with Aamir Khan in Ghaniji, has already made a niche for herself in Bollywood.

Recently, there was a report that Asin has said no to a film offered by producer Boney Kapoor, who is also the husband of the veteran star Sridevi. Reacting on this, the Ghajini girl said that she was never offered any such film by Sridevi or her husband and she can never thought of saying to a senior star like Sridevi and her hubby Boney Kapoor.

Asin was quoted stating that she shares a great personal relationship with Boney Kapoor, Sridevi and the whole family. The 24 year old actress said that she came across this report when she was shooting in Chennai.

Echoing the same thing, Boney said that he is working on the scripts of the films like ‘Mr. India 2’ and the sequel of ‘No Entry’, which will be titled ‘Be Positive’. The producer added that he is not a person who will approach the stars with an incomplete script. Boney said that he will complete the script first and then will announce the actors.

There is a report that Sridevi was also surprised to know that news as Asin is her neighbor in Mumbai.
