July 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): It’s just normal that when you have the status of a powerful celebrity, you have the power and the position to star in any film that you feel like. Similarly, comedian Will Smith is doing the same thing. Presently, he would be seen in a movie entitled The Legend of Cain that is written by Caleeb Pinkett, Dan Knauf (Carnivale) and Andrea Berloff. Caleb happens to be Will’s brother-in-law. Will has plans to co-produce the film along with him and also to star in it.
Smith wishes to essay the supposed Cain in the movie that would be an epic. The film aims to re-tell the story of the Biblical sibling but would have a strange yet fascinating mix of a ‘vampiric twist’.
Will has called upon Overbrook Entertainment, James Lassiter, and Ken Stovitz Smith to assist him to produce the film. So far neither any director nor a studio is attached to the film project.
As some people would know, the biblical ‘Cain’ is the brother of Able and happens to be one of the two sons of Adam and Eve. According to the Genesis tale, Cain grew highly jealous of Able’s association with God and later slays him. Now Will wishes to put a crazy concoction of vampires in the film, which can only be interesting.
