Prodigy: The Most Influential Dance Group

July 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The Prodigy, the iconic British break beat pioneers were recently named the most influential dance group.

This is an Essex based band who have completed 20 years of their collective existence, surpassed all the competition from Daft Punk and New Order in the survey of the Global Gathering that was recently released. They did face some hardcore competition; however The Prodigy overshadowed them all.

More than 2,000 festival and pub hoppers participated in the aforementioned survey that was specially created by the British premiere dance fest called the Global Gathering. This was done in order to mark a decade of the festival. The fans and the listeners were all asked to cast a vote for the dance act that they considered to be called the most influential. The fans were asked to cast vote from a selected list as compiled by the team of Global Gathering; the results provided a perfect list of the top 10 most significant dance acts.

In today’s world, dance music is continually undergoing evolution and The Prodigy rightfully gets the gratitude that they absolutely deserve. The group comprises of Liam Howlett, Keith Flint and Maxim.

Fans of The Prodigy are sure to rejoice after this announcement and are sure to revel shaking a leg to the beats of their favorite group.
